‘Iso’ Competition

A writing/acting competition

With many people Self-Isolating and the Theatre World being shutdown, we thought it'd be good to put more opportunities out there and possibly help those who might be struggling financially. Even if it is only a small amount. Or even to just take our mind off of things.

We asked Working-Class Identifying Writers to submit us a script with the following breakdown for the chance to win £50:

Theme: Stories about 'Class'.
These scripts can be up to 2-4 pages long with a run time of 5 minutes max. Submissions over that length won't be considered. You'll also need to submit up to 150 words about why you wrote this piece and how it relates to 'Class'

We have a small pot that we've gathered from kind donations at our events, and we want to give it back. Now that we have selected a writer to win £50, we’re now opening up to actors to send us a self tape of you performing the selected script. Our favourite performance will earn £50 too!

WINning Writer: Worker’s Cough by Ryan Wilce

ACTORS APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Now is the chance for the actors to get their hands on some prize money! We want you to create a self tape using the piece of text that won the first round of the competition! (Access the Script using the button above)

  • This tape can be filmed in whatever style you like and doesn't have to be filmed like a traditional self tape. You can use editing, multiple people, multiple tapes with effects on it, even a short film.

  • The recording has to be UNDER 5 MINUTES LONG.

  • The deadline is APRIL 12TH at 21:00.

  • Submit the recording using the Google Form below!
